Surah 87. Surah al A’la

Surah 87. Surah al A’la (The Most High)

Bismillah ir Rahman ir Raheem
In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

  1. Glorified be the Name of your Rabb, the Most High!
  2. Who created, then bestowed order and proportion;
  3. Who has measured (what each soul needs), and has guided;
  4. And Who has brought forth vegetation,
  5. Then does He turn it into a dry, dark stubble.
  6. Soon shall We make you recite,
    So that you do not forget-
  7. Except as Allah wills.
    Indeed, He knows what is perceived and what is beyond perception.
  8. Soon shall We make it easy for you, so that you attain serenity.
  9. So, remind them,
    Perchance the reminder may benefit them.
  10. One who fears (the Judgment Day) is admonished readily,
  11. But the ill-fated will avoid it-
  12. Such is the one who will enter the Great Fire,
  13. Wherein he will neither die nor live.
  14. Verily, the one who has purified (his soul) has found felicity,
  15. And remembered the Name of his Rabb, and prayed.
  16. Nay! The (deceptive) impressions of the life of this world
    (Have distracted you),
  17. While the hereafter–that is better and is everlasting.
  18. This is indeed what is in the ancient Scriptures,
  19. The Scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
